Bears Set for APSU Intercollegiate in Tennessee

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Mercer men's golf team will face a 10-team field Monday and Tuesday at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, hosted by Austin Peay State at Greystone Golf Club.

The two-day event is the penultimate tournament of Mercer's fall slate. Play will begin Monday morning with 36 continuous holes following a shotgun start. In addition to its starting five, Mercer will have two individuals in action.

Tournament Field & Pairings
Mercer will open the tournament paired with host Austin Peay State and UT Martin. They will tee off at 9:30 a.m. (ET) Monday. The rest of the field includes Missouri State, Tennessee Tech, Belmont, Samford, Binghamton, Murray State, Tennessee State and Eastern Illinois.

Coach Kayden's Take
"The guys are coming off a good week of practice, plus a gap in the schedule that was much needed to get back into a strong mental state of mind," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "I think Greystone will be a good fit for our team; some of the guys played there last year, which will be an advantage.

"We are going in with the attitude of winning this event. I like our team's enthusiasm and confidence."
