Coach Kayden's Take
"We played well overall today as we took fourth place here at Greystone Golf Club," said head coach Kirk Kayden. "We're still looking for the entire group to excel over a full round but I'm confident that will come as we continue to progress. It was encouraging to see Spencer [Ball] finish out a strong tournament as well as Stanton [Schorr] rebound from an unusual second round yesterday. Jerry [Ren] did well as an individual too.
Â
"It is always good to finish ahead of a SoCon team and we did that this week versus Samford. We'll take the lessons we've learned into the Pinetree Intercollegiate at Kennesaw State next weekend."
Â
Up Next
Mercer will conclude its 2017 fall season with a short trip to Kennesaw, Ga., where it will participate in the Pinetree Intercollegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State. The two-day tournament will be held at the Pinetree Country Club on Oct. 23-24.
