MACON, Ga. – Fans will get their first chance to walk the concourse and watch a game at the new OrthoGeorgia Park on Tuesday as Mercer hosts Georgia at 6 p.m.

Series History
While Georgia leads the all-time series, 46-13, recent fortune favors the Bears. Mercer has won three of the last four meetings between the two teams with the lone loss coming in extra innings, a 7-6 decision last year in Macon.

Bears vs. the SEC
Mercer is 37-131 all-time against SEC schools but Craig Gibson has raised the bar. In his now 14 years as head coach of the Bears, Mercer has gone 8-19 against Southeastern Conference foes.

How Sweep It Is!
Mercer swept its opening series of the season – the only Southern Conference team to do so – with three consecutive wins over Maryland Eastern Shore. That marks the third time in the past four seasons that Mercer has swept its opening series of the year.

Receiving Votes
Released late Monday, Mercer is receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. The Bears are the only Southern Conference squad to receive votes while Georgia Tech, ranked 25^th, is the only other team from Georgia to be listed.
