
Mercer Football Golf Tournament Set for March 19

Fifth annual event to be held at Idle Hour Golf and Country Club
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer football program and head coach Bobby Lamb will host the fifth annual Mercer Football Golf Tournament on Monday, March 19 at Idle Hour Golf and Country Club.

The four-person scramble event begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. On-site registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Entry includes one round of golf, lunch, a tee gift and a door prize ticket. The tournament will also have multiple on-course games throughout the day including a putting contest and awards for longest drive and closest to the pin.

The Idle Hour Golf and Country Club, located in Macon, is built on the grounds of a mid-nineteenth century horse farm and racetrack. The A.W. Tillinghast-designed golf course is one of the most dramatic and challenging courses in the state of Georgia and also serves as the home course for Mercer's women's golf program.
