Bears Seek Road Win at Chattanooga on Saturday

MACON, Ga. – Mercer will hit the road for the last time in the 2018 campaign to face Chattanooga in a Southern Conference contest at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn.

While the Bears (4-5, 3-3 SoCon) have won two of their last three meetings with Chattanooga (6-3, 4-3), both of those victories came in Macon in 2015 and 2017; Mercer has not defeated the Mocs in Chattanooga since Nov. 11, 1933.

Saturday's game will be broadcasted via ESPN+. Fans can also tune into the "Voice of the Bears" Rick Cameron and Mercer Sports Network on 100.9 The Creek FM or the SportsMic app.

Both Mercer and Chattanooga suffered SoCon losses last week, mathematically eliminating them from the conference title race with two weeks remaining.
Mercer has won two of its last three meetings with Chattanooga, both coming in Macon. Mercer defeated the Mocs, 30-10, last season and earned a 17-14 win over then-No. 3 Chattanooga in 2015.
The Bears have not defeated Chattanooga on the road since a 7-0 victory on Nov. 11, 1933.
Bobby Lamb's 10 wins against Chattanooga are his second most against a single opponent (11 vs. Western Carolina).
Mercer can tie its most SoCon wins in a single season (4) with a win at Chattanooga.

The Bears have used three quarterbacks this season, most recently redshirt freshman walk-on Harrison Frost, who started vs. ETSU on Nov. 3.
Tee Mitchell, who missed last week's game vs. ETSU, remains 103 all-purpose yards away from the Mercer career record of 3,526.
Will Coneway needs six tackles to reach 200 for his career. He ranks fifth in the SoCon with 8.6 tackles per game (77 total tackles).
Cole Fisher is 11-for-14 on field goal attempts this season, including 9-for-10 from inside the 40-yard line.
