Mercer’s Tennis Programs Ink Florida Prep Stars To 2018 Signing Class

MACON, Ga. – Mercer's men's and women's tennis program have each signed a standout prep performer from the state of Florida, Bears' Coach Eric Hayes announced Thursday.

Alara Hollyfield, the No. 16 ranked girls' high school player in Florida, will be joining the Bears' program this fall. Hollyfield, who goes to Robinson High School in Tampa, Fla., is a four-star recruit and is rated the No. 35 player in the Southeast and the No. 121 player in the USA.

James Emslie, the No. 37 ranked boys' high school player in Florida, will also be a new member to the Bears' team. Emslie is likewise from Tampa and goes to Jesuit High School. He is a three-star recruit, ranked No. 79 in the Southeast and No. 290 nationally.
