Bears finish non-conference slate with a win
MACON, Ga. – Mercer wrapped up its 2019 non-conference slate with a win Monday night, as the Bears shutout North Florida, 2-0, at Betts Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trevor Martineau put the Bears up a goal relatively early in the contest, finding the back of the net in the 31st minute off an assist from Joshua Harrison – Martineau's eighth goal and Harrison's first assist of the season.

The match remained 1-0 through halftime before the shots started flying late in the game. JR DeRose did his part to keep the score where it was in the 77th minute – when he made a flying, back-handed save on a shot from UNF's Zane Bubb.

Mercer then put the game away when Leo Toledo Jr. took a pass from Michael Ille and shot one under the goalkeeper's legs for the 81st-minute goal.
