GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mercer women's tennis team won five singles matches to defeat UNCG, 5-2, in Southern Conference play on Sunday at the UNCG Tennis Courts.

Mercer (9-7, 2-0 SoCon) won its seventh straight match overall and second in conference action and has not lost since Feb. 8.

After dropping the doubles point, Mercer notched five singles points for the win. Maeva Roquebert won in straight sets in the second-seeded match for the Bears' first singles win and was followed by Katie Sidor in the No. 1 match, Celine Schepers in the No. 4 match, Marie Mottet in the No. 5 match and Alara Hollyfield in the No. 3 match.

Sidor, Hollyfield and Schepers joined Roquebert in earning straight-sets victories.
