Katie Sidor, Celine Schepers earn singles wins

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Mercer women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 Southern Conference loss to ETSU at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex on Tuesday.

Katie Sidor and Celine Schepers earned singles wins in the No. 1 and No. 5 flights while additionally winning their doubles match on court one. Sidor defeated Laylo Bakhodirova, 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 to improve to 5-1 in SoCon action. Schepers moved to 4-2 in league play with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Yunuen Elizarraras.

Mercer is now 10-11 overall and 2-4 in SoCon play while the Bucs improved to 9-9 (4-0 SoCon).
