Bears, Panthers to clash at 6 p.m. Wednesday
MACON, Ga. – Mercer will travel north on I-75 for a nonconference, mid-week clash with Georgia State at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
The Bears (15-17) are coming off a Southern Conference series win at The Citadel and seek their first mid-week win since March 12. Wednesday's game will have live stats available and will be streamed on PantherVision, which requires a subscription to watch.
MIDWEEK LINEUP
The Panthers have won just six of 20 games since a 14-11 loss to Mercer in Macon on March 5 and enter Tuesday's contest with a 9-23 overall record. Three Panthers are hitting above .300, including Brandon Bell (.333), who owns 41 hits and a team-best .401 on base percentage.
Left-hander Seth Clark is expected to start on the mound for Georgia State. He is 2-1 with a 7.11 ERA in 14 appearances and has struck out 31 batters in 25.1 innings. Wednesday will be his first start of the season.
