Mercer travels to Florida to challenge Stetson in two mid-week matches

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer beach volleyball team (7-2, 2-2 ASUN) will travel to Deland, Fla. to face nationally-ranked No. 10 Stetson in a pair of matches on Wednesday. The two matches are expected to start at 2 and 4 p.m.

NOTABLES

Mercer went 2-2 in ASUN Conference play this weekend, earning two wins over Jacksonville while falling to North Florida twice at Bear Beach.
Kacy Ogden and Elli Merchant were Mercer's only pairing to beat North Florida as they notched a 21-15, 21-19 straight-sets win in Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Ospreys.
Mercer only dropped one set to Jacksonville over the weekend.
Stetson leads the head-to-head series with Mercer, 16-1. The two teams most recently faced off last season where the Hatters walked away with two wins, going 5-0 in the first matchup and 4-1 in the second.

SCOUTING STETSON
Stetson (21-8, 6-0 ASUN) has faced 12 ranked opponents this season, including Georgia State, Florida International, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Southern California, South Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Arizona, Florida State, LSU, UCLA and Texas Christian, while going 8-8 against them. Quinci Birker, Darby Dunn, Sunniva Helland-Hansen, Rebecca Ingram, Carly Perales and Sammee Thomas lead the Hatters and remain undefeated in ASUN play this season (6-0).
