Bears Look To Stop Skid at Florida A&M

Mercer will take on Florida A&M tomorrow at 2 p.m.
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Florida A&M for a 2 p.m. contest in Tallahassee.
Mercer is coming off a 7-0 loss at Clemson in what was its first match since January 21st. The Bears are looking to stop a five-match skid and pick up their first victory since January 11th when they defeated Oral Roberts, 4-3, in the season opener.
In singles play, three players have earned victories in 2019 – Alara Hollyfield, Lauren Rich, and Anna Sovic. Rich has also won a doubles match alongside partner Marie Mottett while Maeva Roquebert and Mary Courville have also been victorious in doubles play on one occasion.

Scouting the Rattlers
Florida A&M is winless through seven matches and is coming off a 6-1 loss at Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. The Rattlers have gone 6-31 in singles matches with Rachel Harden and Arielle Nealy leading the way with two victories each. In doubles play, Florida A&M is 2-17 overall. Harden teamed up with Ofure Osabuohlen to win one doubles match, while Aylen Hubeaut and Morgan White also have one doubles triumph to their credit.
Tomorrow's match is the Rattlers' lone contest against a Southern Conference school.

Mercer will play its home opener on Saturday when they host Alabama A&M to begin a three-match homestand. The Bears will also host Georgia State (Feb. 21) and Florida Gulf Coast (Feb. 22) as part of their three consecutive home matches.
