Bears falls to second straight ACC opponent
CLEMSON, S.C. – Returning to the court for the first time since Jan. 21, the Mercer women's tennis team was defeated by Clemson, 7-0, on Saturday at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.

The Tigers took an early lead over the Bears as they won the doubles point after taking first and second doubles. The Bears team of Anna Sovic and Alara Hollyfield led 5-4 but the match went unfinished.

In singles action, Mary Courville was playing No. 3 singles and she battled Ali DeSpain but was defeated 6-4, 7-5. Marie Mottet faced Lana Sipek and was defeated 6-3 in the first set. Mottet battled in the second set and forced a tiebreaker but was defeated 7-6 (4). Â
