Bears To Close Out Homestand Against Toledo and Alcorn State

Mercer will host Toledo on Monday and Alcorn State on Wednesday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will close out a seven-match homestand by hosting Toledo on Monday and Alcorn State on Wednesday.
The Bears are coming off a difficult 4-3 defeat for the second match in a row after falling to Georgia State on Saturday. Despite the result, there were positives in the match as Mercer won the doubles point and Mary Courville and Anna Sovic both recorded wins in singles play.

Scouting the Rockets
Toledo enters the match with a 4-5 overall record and begins a five-match road swing that will take them throughout the Southeast as they visit as the states of Georgia and South Carolina. The fifth match of the Rockets' trip is at Michigan on March 20.
Toledo's Deedee Leenabanchong is a stellar 7-1 in the No. 1 flight and has won three consecutive matches.
Laura Morera, Patricia Panta and Sloane Teske are all 5-3 in singles play. Each individual has seen time in the No. 3 and 4 flights.
In doubles, the Rockets are led by Eileen Carney and Leenabanchong. The pair has amassed an impressive 6-2 mark at No. 1.

Scouting the Braves
Alcorn State has struggled thus far, winning just one match in 15 attempts. The Braves shut out Mississippi Valley State, 4-0, on February 21.
Stefany Grlj, Alessandra Maganuco and T. Riley-Codringotn have won a match this season. Grlj and Maganuco have been victorious in doubles play on one occasion.
