MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears will head to Greeneville, S.C. for the last two regular season matches against the Furman Paladins on Sunday and Monday.

This will be the 25th and 26th meeting between the Bears and the Paladins. The last meeting was in the 2019 season, the Bears took the match on five sets. Brittany Major led the team with 19 kills. Â

SCOUTING THE PALADINS
Furman is coming off a five set win over the Wofford Terriers on Monday night. The Paladins had four players with double digit kills. Courtney Hoffman led with 16, followed by Mikaela Schultz (12), Kelsey Watkins (11), and Maya Mrus (10). Mrus was also the lone Paladin to register a double-double. Along with her 10 kills, she had 19 digs on the match. Katie Murphy dished out 26 assists in the match to lead the Paladins. Hoffman led Furman with seven blocks, three solo and four assisted. Michelle Young enters her 21st season at the helm of the Paladins.

- Mercer is currently in second place in the Southern Conference with their 11-3 conference record. The Bears were picked sixth in the preseason poll.
- The 11 wins for the Bears so far is a new record for conference wins since joining the Southern Conference in 2014.
- In the Bears match against ETSU on Monday, Jaida Howell and Brittany Major led the Bears with 10 kills. Annie Karle and Taylor Lynch led with 13 digs each.
- With the wins against ETSU, head coach Derek Schroeder brings his career win total to 221.
