Bears Travel South For Tampa Invitational

Mercer set to play Tampa, Eckerd, Jacksonville, and FGCU
MACON, Ga. – Mercer travels to Tampa, Fla. for the Tampa Invitational on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.
The Bears will start the tournament against host The University of Tampa on Friday at 10 a.m. Later, they will challenge Eckerd College at 2 p.m. Mercer will complete the tournament on Saturday by going head to head with Jacksonville University at 8 a.m. and then finishing the tournament with a match against Florida Gulf Coast at 12 p.m.

NOTABLES
- Mercer snagged their first sweep of the season last weekend against UNCW. It was the first time the Bears beat the Seahawks.
- The Bears split the last tournament they competed at. They defeated Erskine and UNCW but fell to UNF and College of Charleston.
- Freshman Hana Robertson earned her first collegiate win against UNCW. She and her partner, Ellie Miller, won 4-21, 21-19, 15-10.
