Gabby DiVirgilio scored her first collegiate goal
MACON, Ga. – Iseabal Cryne's career high 17 saves wasn't enough as the Mercer Bears fell to No. 17 Jacksonville Dolphins, 20-6, in Sunday's regular season finale.
Jacksonville started the game off strong, taking a quick 4-0 lead. Over halfway through the first half, Hailey Rhatigan scored the Bears first goal of the game with an assist from Eva Thorn. Less than a minute later, Rhatigan scored her second goal to make it a two-goal game. The Bears got within one of the Dolphins with a goal from Lily Morin. Iseabal Cryne stopped 14 shots in the first half, one away from a career high. Jacksonville would lead 6-3 at the half.
Erin Degnan opened the second half scoring for the Bears at the 26:16 mark with an assist from Maddi Koury. It would be another 10 minutes before the Black and Orange would score again. Senior Katie Ryan would find the back of the net with help from Degnan. The Bears final goal would come from freshman Gabby DiVirgilio. Her first collegiate goal would come with 38 seconds left in the game.
