All season ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets for Mercer's battle with Alabama on Sept. 11 in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
"The enthusiasm for Mercer football is at an all-time high," remarked Associate AD Daniel Tate. "With the success that Drew Cronic had this spring, we have seen it translate into fans excited about the fall and purchasing season tickets at an all-time high."
The Bears' home slate includes Point, Samford, VMI, Wofford and Chattanooga. VMI advanced to the FCS playoffs for the first time in program history following the 2021 spring season.
The Bears open the season at Five Star Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 2 when they host Point University. This will be the lone non-conference home game of the season and the first between meeting the Orange & Black and Skyhawks.
Mercer rounds out the 2021 non-conference slate on Saturday, Sept. 11 when it travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to play Alabama. The Crimson Tide are coming off a perfect 13-0 season, capped off by a 52-24 victory over No. 3 Ohio State in the national title game.
Southern Conference play begins Sept. 25 with a trip to Greenville, S.C., to face Furman. The following week, Mercer will host Samford in its SoCon home opener (Oct. 2). After a trip to Western Carolina on Oct. 9, the Bears will play back-to-back home contests for the only time in 2021 when they host league foes VMI (Oct. 16) and Wofford (Oct. 23).
Mercer will close out the 2021 campaign with two of its final three contests away from Five Star Stadium. The Bears will travel to The Citadel on Oct. 30 before hosting Chattanooga (Nov. 13) and heading north to Johnson City, Tenn., to battle ETSU (Nov. 20) in the regular season finale.
Times for all games are still to be announced and all dates are subject to change.
