Lovallo joins Bears staff from Lees-McRae College
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Women's Lacrosse program has added Catherine Lovallo as an Assistant Coach. Lovallo joins defensive coordinator Grace Sisserson on staff.Â
"We are so excited to welcome Catherine to our staff," says Coach Eustace. "She brings an extensive amount of knowledge and coaching experience to our program. I'm looking forward to her putting her stamp on our offensive end."Â
Â
Catherine comes to Mercer after spending the past 7 years at Lees-McRae College, a Division II program in North Carolina.  She headed up the Bobcats' program for the past three seasons. While in Banner Elk, Lovallo led the program to a pair of appearances in the Conference Carolinas tournament. Catherine also mentored 14 student-athletes to Academic All-Conference honors as well as six Conference Carolinas all-league student-athletes.Â
Â
"I want to thank Head Coach Samantha Eustace and the entire athletic department for the opportunity to join a well-respected program and athletic department. I'm beyond thrilled to join the Mercer family. To come to Mercer, into a program that has had so much success, and work with a great coach like Samantha, is a special opportunity. I am elated to be a part of a new chapter as the team enters the Big South and believe my coaching strengths will assist in rising to this challenge."
Â
Catherine played for St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina, as a midfielder. She earned First Team All-Conference honors twice.  As a senior, Lovallo was selected as the Appalachian Athlete Conference player of the year. She stayed at St. Andrews after graduation as a student assistant for one year.Â
Â
Catherine recently married Henry Murray, who is currently an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Appalachian State.Â
