
Lady Bears finish at NCCA South Championship

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Mercer cross-country teams had another record-breaking weekend at the NCAA South Regional Championship today.Â
"I'm proud of everything we have accomplished this season and it was great to end the season with a few more accolades," said head coach Josh Hayman. "We raced hard and left it all out on the course today."

WOMEN'S RACE (6K)
The women finished close to the school record with an average time of 23:07, for the 6K.They now hold the 2nd shortest time in program history. The Lady Bears' placed 29th out of 30 schools. The tight front pack of Bears of Laney Doster (22:27), Leah Pfaff (22:45), Bri Teegarden (22:48), Iris Porter (23:32) and Allie Brown(24:02) closed out the scoring for the Bears for a team score of 827. Pfaff set a new freshman 6k school record with her time.Â
