Men's Soccer Welcomes Two Players on National Signing Day

Ehi Aimiuwu and Barzee Blama signed with the Bears
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team received two National Letters of Intent from Ehi Aimiuwu and Barzee Blama on National Signing Day.Â
Ehi is a forward from Marietta, Georgia where he plays his high school soccer at Hillgrove High School. Barzee is a forward from Snellville, Georgia where he plays his high school soccer at Archer High School. Both Ehi and Barzee are coached by Todd Gispert and play for The ECNL Club team NASA, which is known as one of the best club teams in the nation.Â
Ehi AimiuwuÂ
6-0 | Forward | Hillgrove High School | Marietta, GAÂ
Ehi is a forward at Hillgrove Highschool. On the soccer field, he has seen a lot of success, these include a trip to the 2022 Final Four for varsity soccer, 2021 Southeastern champions for ECNL, and was the 2019 Concorde Fire U-15 Runner-up player. Outside of playing soccer, Ehi is heavily involved with extracurriculars at his high school and has seen a lot of success academically.Â
Coach Ruzzo on Ehi AimiuwuÂ
"Ehi is another top forward/wide player from the NASA team and is coached by Todd Gispert. Once again Coach Gispert has done a tremendous job developing Ehi and we expect Ehi to also have an immediate impact on our team. He is long, rangy, fast, and very good at running with the ball at players. He can play several different positions but is very dynamic going forward and his work rate is incredible."Â

Barzee BlamaÂ
6-1 | Forward | Archer High School | Snellville, GAÂ
Barzee is forward at Archer High School. During his time with Archer High School, Barzee has been awarded first-team all-county and first-team all-region twice. He also earned the Offensive player of the year for the region and has been Archer's High School top scorer for two years in a row. Outside of playing for Archer HS, he has seen success with his club soccer team. He has been selected as an ECNL National Selection Game player and was selected as an ECNL First Team All-American.Â
Coach Ruzzo on Barzee BlamaÂ
"We are excited to sign Barzee as he is one of the tops forwards in the country and we expect him to have an immediate impact on our program. He is fast, athletic, and powerful and can change games on his own. He will fit into our system very well and he comes from a great family and club team at NASA. Coach Todd Gispert has done a tremendous job developing him into a player and person. Barzee can score goals in multiple ways."Â
