Karle Earns SoCon Honor

MACON,GA— Annie Karle's performance this past weekend has earned her recognition as the Southern Conference volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Karle's consistent attacking success helped the Bears to a 1-1 record this past weekend. The Bears beat Furman University 3-1 after dropping a 1-3 decision against The Citadel.Â
The 5-foot-11, graduate senior dominated the net in both matches. She had 34 kills and 4.25 kills per set.
Karle has 1370 kills in her career and sits in the top three in the conference for kills.
"Annie had a huge senior night double-double,' Said head coach Derek Schroeder. "It was so fun to watch her make some adjustments early and then get in a grove and dominate. We are all very excited for her."
Karle and the rest of the Bears volleyball squad will be home this Wednesday (Nov. 9) to host Samford University in their last week of regular conference play.
