MACON, GA - The Mercer women's tennis team downed Georgia College by a score of 6-1 to improve to 5-4 on the season.Â
The duo of Mary Courville and Naya Tillitt claimed a 6-4 victory in number one doubles. Lekha Varudandi and Kristin Yordanova earned the 7-6 win in number two doubles and Lauren Rich and Francesca Franchi won 6-4 at number three doubles to give Mercer the doubles point.
Mercer would go on to claim five of the six singles matches.
Mary Courville won number one singles 7-6, 6-1.
Naya Tillitt claimed number two singles 7-6, 6-2.
Lauren Rich took number three singles 6-0, 6-4.
Francesca Franchi clinched victory in number four singles with a 7-6, 6-4 win.
Lekha Varudandi earned the win at number five singles 6-1, 7-5.
Mercer will be back in action on Monday, February 21 for a matchup with the Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
