Mercer to play Rattlers on Tuesday and Wednesday
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer baseball team will host Florida A&M on Tuesday and Wednesday at OrthoGeorgia Park. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Scouting Florida A&M
The Rattlers are 2-1 entering this week's pair of nonconference games in Macon. Florida A&M competed in the Andre Dawson Classic in New Orleans hosted by Major League Baseball. The Rattlers beat Prairie View A&M (13-7) on Friday and Southern (8-7) on Sunday but fell to Alabama A&M (9-6) on Saturday.
Florida A&M has a couple of weapons on the offensive end. Senior outfielder Ty Hanchey has a .462 batting average on the year with six hits and four RBI. Sophomore Adam Haidermota is right behind Hanchey with a .429 batting average on six hit and one home run.

Mercer's bats exploded for a season-high 16 hits in a 10-3 win over visiting Florida A&M on March 10, 2021.
Bill Knight led the team with three hits in the contest. Six Bears – Trevor Austin, RJ Yeager, Angelo DiSpigna, Collin Price, Brandon Michie, David Burke – all had two hits each. Knight, DiSpigna and Michie led the team with two RBI each.
Tommy Green went four innings in relief and picked up the win for the Bears. He surrendered one run and a pair of hits in the contest while fanning three. Mercers pitching staff limited the Rattlers to two hits in the contest, which tied a season-low for Florida A&M.
