Bears to help spread awareness of breast cancer research in penultimate home game
MACON, Ga. – Mercer's final homestand will begin with its annual Pink Game as part of "Play4Kay" when the Bears (15-6, 8-1 SoCon) will host Western Carolina (6-17, 0-9 SoCon) on Thursday night, February 10 at 7 p.m. Â
"Play4Kay" is in memory of Kay Yow, a former NC State coach who lost a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Fans are invited to wear pink - in addition to orange and black, of course - to cheer on the Bears at Hawkins Arena and help spread awareness of the battle that so many have faced.
In addition, free pizza will be available to the first 500 students.
Tickets are available online here or through the box office at Hawkins Arena.
