Mercer Fan Appreciation Day Set for Aug. 13

MACON, Ga. – Mercer University will host its annual Fan Appreciation Day on Saturday, Aug. 13, in anticipation of its fall sports kicking off their respective seasons.

The free event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Heritage Hall of the University Center, where Mercer fall sports student-athletes, including the football team, will be available for an autograph session. Posters for the football, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball programs will be available. Toby the Bear will be in attendance for photo opportunities with Mercer fans as well.

Mercer football will kick off its 2022 campaign on Aug. 27 as it hosts Morehead State at 7 p.m. at Five Star Stadium. Following a season in which the Bears battled ETSU for the 2021 SoCon championship, coach Drew Cronic's team received Mercer's first-ever preseason ranking earlier this month at no. 17 in the Athlon Pre-season Poll.
