James set school record with 3 receiving touchdowns in a game
MACON, Ga. – Ty James was named FCS Offensive Player of the Week for week zero by the NCAA. James started the season with one of the best games of his career.
In the win over Morehead State, James had five receptions for 192 receiving yards and a school record three receiving touchdowns.
James leads all of Division I football in receiving yards (192) and is tied for the most receiving touchdowns (3), after games played in week zero.
James scored the first touchdown of the season for the Bears, with a 43-yard touchdown reception on the Bears' opening possession of the game. His other touchdown receptions, of 29 and 90 yards, each came in the first half.

Mercer hits the road for its first away game of the year as they take on the Auburn Tigers from Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
