MACON, GA. – Mercer Deputy Athletic Director and Executive Director of the Athletic Foundation Brian Gerrity has announced the hiring of Thomas "TJ" Stuart as assistant director for the Mercer Athletic Foundation (MAF). Stuart comes to Mercer after serving at Yale as athletics community engagement coordinator. While at Yale, he assisted with day-to-day operations, game day operations, promotional schedules, scheduling and managing game day interns and events and serving as a game day site rep.

"I can say without hesitation that TJ will do a great job at Mercer," Gerrity said. "His passion for athletics was evident during the interview process, and I look forward to watching him grow within the position."
Stuart, a Milford, Connecticut, native, received his undergraduate degree from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York, where he was a member of the baseball team. During his time at Manhattan, he served as a national representative on the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
He is completing his master of business sports management from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he also played on the baseball team.
"I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Mercer Athletic Foundation team and join the Mercer community," Stuart said. "In my first few days at Mercer, I have been able to meet a number of alums, donors and staff, and I can already tell this is a special place."
