Moorman led the SoCon with 16 points in September
MACON, Ga. - Mercer sophomore forward Jada Moorman was named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Month for the month of September as announced by the league office Thursday evening.
This is the first Player of the Month Award for Moorman in her career. Moorman was named SoCon Player of the Week twice in September.
Moorman, a sophomore forward from Cincinnati, Ohio had an outstanding month of September for the Bears. In eight games played in September, Moorman scored seven goals, with two assists for 16 points.
Moorman led the SoCon in goals and points in the month.Â
Moorman leads the SoCon with 10 goals and 25 points on the season. She entered Thursday's game at VMI with 10 goals, tied for 12th most in the country. Moorman has at least one point in 10 of 15 games played this season.
She has already surpassed her career high in goals set last year as a freshman when she scored seven goals for the Bears and was named SoCon Freshman of the Year.
