Men’s Golf Tied for 8th After Day Two At The Carolina Cup

SPARTANBURG, SC. – Tobias Jonsson turned in 76 to settle into a share of seventh place on the individual leaderboard and led the Mercer men's golf team to a tie for 8^th-place in the standings after second round of action at the Carolina Cup.

The Bears posted a combined 305 (+17) in Mondays action at Carolina Country Club in South Carolina, but Winthrop (+13) is sitting atop the leaderboard with Kennesaw State (+15) right behind them. North Texas (+16), USTA (+16), and UAB (+16) are all tied for third.

Jonathan Parker turned in a 4-over-par 76 and Gustav Sjoberg tallied a 75 to claim a share of 33^rd place together. Jacob Uyesato shot a 78 in the second round and is currently tied for 69^th place. Connor Holcroft shot an 83 in the second round, currently tied 73^rdplace.

The Bears tee off in the final round of the Carolina Cup tomorrow morning.
