Men’s Golf Finishes 9th At The Carolina Cup

SPARTANBURG, SC. – Tobias Jonsson turned in 73 to settle into a share of fifth place on the individual leaderboard and led the Mercer men's golf team to a 9^th-place finish in the standings after final round of action at the Carolina Cup.

The Bears posted an event total of 305 (+17) in Tuesdays action at Carolina Country Club in South Carolina, but Kennesaw State (+14) is finished atop the leaderboard with James Madison (+18) right behind them. UAB (+16) finished the event in third place.

Jonathan Parker turned in a 4-over-par 76 in the second round in a row and finished tied for 40^th place. Gustav Sjoberg tallied a 78 to claim 45^th place. Jacob Uyesato shot a 74 in the final round and finished tied for 56^th place. Connor Holcroft shot an 78 in the final round, finishing in 73^thplace.

The Bears will be back on the tee box at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate on Sunday, October 29.
