Mercer Tennis Classic Wins USTA Georgia Award

MARIETTA – The Georgia chapter of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has tabbed the Mercer Tennis Classic as the "Adult Tournament of the Year" in their listing of annual awards for the 2023 season.

USTA Georgia annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments made by tennis players, coaches, tournaments directors and other professionals across the state. USTA Georgia's annual award ceremony will be held on February 10 during the USTA Georgia Community Tennis Development Workshop at the JW Marriott Buckhead in Atlanta.

The Mercer Tennis Classic and its tournament director, Mercer men's & women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes, were recently honored as part of the 10th anniversary of the annual event.

"On behalf of USTA Georgia, I want to thank you for your service and outstanding accomplishments in our tennis community throughout 2023. The Mercer Tennis Classic, known as one of the most player-friendly tournaments on the USTA Pro Circuit. saw record attendance last month across the week-long event at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center.
