Baseball Releases 2024 Schedule

MACON – Thirty home games, including midweek tilts with a quartet of in-state foes, as well as a weekend series at Oklahoma State in early March, highlight the 56-game Mercer baseball schedule that was released on Friday morning by head coach Craig Gibson.

The Bears will lift the lid on their 109th season of intercollegiate baseball, Feb. 16-18, when they welcome the Toledo Rockets to Macon for a 3-game series at OrthoGeorgia Park. The Orange & Black will play 11 of its first 12 games in the comfy confines of its home ballpark, including an 8-game home stand that will bridge February and March.

Mercer will open up a 4-game road trip at Georgia State on March 5, before trekking to Stillwater, Okla., the following weekend (March 8-10) for a weekend series against 20-time College World Series participant Oklahoma State. The Bears will then return home to battle Georgia Tech on March 12.

MU will lift the lid on the Southern Conference portion of its 2024 regular season schedule when it travels to North Carolina to take on UNC Greensboro in a weekend set. The Bears will kick off the home portion of their 2024 SoCon slate, April 12-14, against VMI.

The 6-day 2024 Southern Conference Tournament is slated to begin on May 21 at Fluor Park in Greenville, S.C.
