Orange Team Sweeps Fall World Series

MACON – Both of Mercer's teams scored their highest number of runs in the series in the Orange Team's 11-7 win over the Black Team to clinch Mercer baseball's Fall World Series.

In the highest-scoring game of the series, Brandon Prince went 4-for-4 at the plate with a two-run home run for the Orange. Alex Ramirez was 3-for-3 at the plate with a home run of his own. Connor Folds pitched two innings and gave up one run.

For the Black Team, Jackson Cherry went 1-for-3 with the bat, hitting one home run, and Reid Brown went 1-for-2 and added another homer to the tab. Jeb Johnson pitched two innings, recording four strikeouts and giving up one run.

The Fall World Series concludes the fall season for the Bears. The spring schedule and information on the annual First Pitch Classic and dinner will be released in the coming weeks.
