Enjulina Gonzalez Named SoCon Player Of The Week

MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's basketball player Enjulina Gonzalez was named SoCon Player of the Week, for games played Feb. 14-20, following her performance in Mercer's 70-59 win at Samford.

In the win, Gonzalez scored a game-high 25 points on 12-for-20 shooting. Gonzalez also pulled down three rebounds, had a career-best three blocks and had three steals which tied a career-high.

Her 25 points were the second-most she has scored in a game this season as she had 34 points earlier this season at Chattanooga.

In conference play, Gonzalez ranks second in the SoCon in field goal percentage at 56.9 percent. She also ranks sixth in the conference in scoring at 14.8 points per game.

This is Gonzalez's second SoCon Player of the Week recognition this season, as she also earned it on Jan. 17.

The Bears finish up the regular season this week at Furman on Thursday, Feb. 23 and then at Wofford on Saturday, Feb. 25.
