Amoria Neal-Tysor scored a career-high 42 points to lead Mercer in a great night offensively to an 88-69 win at Furman Thursday night.
Neal-Tysor was 14-for-24 (58.3%) from the floor including 5-for-8 from 3-point range. She had 25 points in the first half.
Her 42 points surpassed her previous career-high of 34 points which she had in two different games, most recently in this year's season opener.Â
Mercer's 88 points were the most the Bears have scored in a game this season and the most they've scored in a game since 2018 when the Bears scored 92 in a win over the Florida Gators.
Mercer was 52 percent from the field and went 10-for-20 from 3-point range. Erin Houpt made half of Mercer's 3-pointers on her way to scoring 18 points to go with four rebounds and two assists.
The Bears had 15 assists in the game, with 13 coming in the second half.
Defensively the Bears had a season-high nine blocks to go with eight steals. Ashlee Locke led the Bears with three blocks and also had a solid night offensively with eight points on 4-for-5 shooting.

The Terriers were picked to finish second in the eight-team league in the preseason coaches poll. Wofford won the first meeting this season between the two teams, 76-71 in Macon.
Wofford is currently tied for first in the SoCon standings and will earn at least a share of the regular season championship with a win.
The Terriers have been hard to beat in their home building, as they are 10-2 at home.
Wofford leads the SoCon at 67.6 points per game in conference play. The Bears are right behind them at 67.3 points per game.
The Terriers are also efficient from the floor, ranking second in the conference during conference play in field goal percentage at 43.9 percent.
Wofford has struggled rebounding the ball, as they are last in the conference with a rebounding margin of -6.1 per game.
Wofford's leading scorer is Rachel Rose who ranks third in the conference averaging 17.4 points per game in SoCon play. Rose also leads the Terriers in rebounding and assists.
