Dylan Gaither and Sekou Agard named to Preseason All-Conference

MACON, Ga. - Mercer graduate midfielder, Dylan Gaither and junior defensemen, Sekou Agard were named to the 2023 Preseason All-SoCon team as announced by the Southern Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bears were selected to finish second in the SoCon standings by the coaches.
Gaither was also named First Team All-Conference and named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Second Team, last season. In 19 games last season, Dylan led Mercer in points (22) and assists (10), and was second on the team in goals (6).
In 19 games, Agard finished the season with five points, one assist and two goals for Bears. Agard was also voted as SoCon Defensive player of the week on September 26
The Bears have one more exhibition this Saturday against UNCW. The Bears will then begin the regular season on the road against Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, August 24 at 4:30 p.m. at the University of Evansville.
