CULLOWHEE – After dropping the first set 20-25, the Bears finished the match with three straight set wins to take the match over Western Carolina.Â
Every set of the match stayed close, with the greatest lead never exceeding six points. Kylee Quigley scored the match-winning point on a kill, topping the leaderboard in kills with 20. Kiera McCarles and Jessica Dunn paired to post 25 and 22 assists, respectively. The team posted a .239 hitting percentage, with a .500 mark in set 2.Â
The Bears travel to Charleston on October 1 to play undefeated Citadel at 4 p.m.

| SET 3 I 25-22 | Coming off of a win in set 2, the Bears played strong in set 3, maintaining a lead for the majority of the set until near the end. The Catamounts rallied to lead until 19-20, when the Bears tied it up and took the win. |
| SET 4 I 25-23 | The set started out back and forth, but the Bears consistently trailed in the second half of the set. When the Catamounts reached a 23-20 lead, the Bears scored five straight, closing it out with a kill by Kylee Quigley to take the win. |
