Men's Basketball Travels to Birmingham to Face the Bulldogs

MACON – The Bears (8-10,1-4) travel to Birmingham on Saturday to play Samford (16-2, 5-0) who has not lost a game since November 10, 2023. Tipoff is at 6 p.m. EST and will be available on ESPN+.

| Samford has taken over the top spot in the Southern Conference after defeating former conference leader Western Carolina by four on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 5-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs boast the second-highest 3-point percentage in the NCAA, shooting 41.0 percent from behind the arc. They also have the third-highest scoring offense (90.6 ppg) and fourth-highest bench points per game (37.6). A 6-9 junior from Melbourne, Australia, Achor Achor, is averaging 16.6 points per game and put up a season-high 35 points, including five 3-pointers, in this week's win over WCU. |
