Brady Shoulders tied his career high with 14 points to lead Mercer offensively, but the Bears dropped an 81-63 game at UCF Wednesday night from Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the first all-time meeting between Mercer and Washington State. Mercer has never played a basketball game in the state of Washington in program history.

SCOUTING WASHINGTON STATE
Washington State is 4-8 this season and is coming off a78-63 win over in-state foe Eastern Washington on Wednesday. Washington State is 2-3 at home so far this season. Washington State was picked to finish sixth out of 12 teams in the 2025 West Coast Conference Preseason Poll.
The Cougars are led by second-year head coach David Riley with five returning letterwinners and nine newcomers, including four freshmen, four transfers, and one European pro.
This season, Washington State is averaging 75.5 points per game and allowing 77.3 points per game. Their scoring offense ranks seventh in the WCC. Washington State has been a solid rebounding team this season as their rebounding margin of +4.6 ranks fifth in the WCC.
Washington State's leading scorer is freshman Ace Glass who averages 15.3 points per game. Glass broke the Washington State single-game record with 40 points against Arizona State earlier this season in Maui.
