MACON - The Mercer Athletic Foundation is excited to launch to a locker room renovation campaign for both the women's volleyball and beach volleyball programs. The campaign has been designed to fully cover the costs of a complete locker room renovation, while simultaneously providing naming opportunities for alumni and friends of the programs.
The scope of the renovation project will transform the existing volleyball locker room while simultaneously creating a new space for beach volleyball.
"Over the past 3 years, we have renovated a number of the locker rooms on campus which has impacted hundreds of student-athletes," said Deputy Athletic Director Brian Gerrity. "This endeavor is unique in that multiple programs will benefit from the renovations."
The transformed spaces will include new Hollman lockers, paint, flooring, graphics and construction renovations, and put Mercer volleyball and beach volleyball on par with their respective league peers.
"I cannot begin to express the level of excitement that I have for this project," said volleyball head coach Chad Sutton. "Enhancing our facilities is an essential step towards elevating this program to new heights. I can speak for our student athletes in how thrilling this endeavor is, as well as how impactful it will be towards their individual and collective pursuits."
Mercer beach volleyball head coach Josh Marsh echoed Sutton's sentiments.

Every dollar raised through the campaign will go directly towards the women's volleyball locker room project, and ALL donors, regardless of gift size, will be reflected on a donor recognition plaque within the new locker room.
Following each gift, a tax receipt letter will be issued to the donor. If you would like to make an online gift to the project, visit the project fundraising page.
