Cross Country To Travel For Regular Season Finale

MACON - The Mercer cross country team will travel to Texas A&M this weekend to compete at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 18. The Bears use this meet as a last tune up before the Southern Conference Championships set to take place on Nov. 2 in Greenville, S.C.

Select Bears will compete at the Watts Cross Country Course against 39 other programs and over 800 entries. Mercer is coming off of a meet in Louisville, Ky at the Live in Lou Classic where the Bears went up against some of the top cross country programs in the nation. Reagan Cooke was the top performer for the women's team with a time of 18:21.0 in the 5K and Buck Ledford was the top finisher on the men's side with a time of 21:01.06 in the 8K.

The meet will kick off at 8:30 a.m. for the men's 8K race and the women's 6K will follow shortly after at 9:15 a.m. Live results will be provided by the Texas A&M athletics department.
