MACON – Fifth-seeded Ann Li upset top-seeded Renata Zarazua in straight sets to highlight singles action, while Ingrid Gamarra Martins and Quinn Gleason used a tiebreaker to take down third-seeded Zarazua and Anastasia Tikhonova to punch their ticket to the championship of the doubles main draw, on another exciting day at the Mercer Tennis Classic.

Six of the singles tournament's eight seeded players have now made early exits as sixth-seeded Lucrezia Stefanini fell in a three-set thriller to American Lauren Davis later Friday. Four seeded players were upset on Thursday at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center.

The semifinals of the singles main draw are the only matches on the schedule for Saturday at the Mercer Tennis Classic. Second-seeded Anna Blinkova will take on Katarzyna Kawa at 11 a.m., and that match will be followed by the other semifinal matchup which pits Li against Davis.
