
Jalyn McCreary Named To All-Southern Conference Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Jalyn McCreary was named to the 2023-24 All-Southern Conference Second Team, the Conference announced on Wednesday. This is the second consecutive year that McCreary has earned a spot on an All-Conference Team.
The 6-8 forward set career highs in points (30), assists (4), and steals (4) this season. He spent the season in the top 10 in the conference for field goal shooting percentage, completing the regular season shooting 53.1 percent. McCreary leads leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.8 points per game, and rebounding, pulling down 4.7 boards per game.
The Marietta, Ga. native joined the Bears after spending two years at South Carolina and one year at South Florida.Â
McCreary and the MU squad (15-16, 8-10) will play in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament on Friday, March 8 vs. The Citadel (11-20, 3-15). Fans can follow along on ESPN+ or with LiveStats when the game in Asheville tips off at 5 p.m.
