MACON – Mercer (15-12, 1-2 SoCon) and East Tennessee State (18-9, 3-3 SoCon) will meet this weekend for a three-game series. Friday's first pitch at Thomas Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m., and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Bears took a 4-1 lead into the sixth inning but got outscored 4-0 the rest of the way to a 5-4 loss. Ty Dalley was named Southern Conference Player of the Week for his performance last weekend, and he led the Bears again against the Owls, going 3-for-5 on the night with a home run and two RBI. The Bears outhit the Owls 10-9 but left 15 runners on base in the game. |

| The Buccaneers have an even 3-3 conference record, winning two games at Western Carolina and one game at UNC Greensboro. The win in Greensboro was a 9-8, 12-inning game that took just under four hours. JD Yakubinis batted in the winning run on a sacrifice fly to center field. The Bucs have a 14-4 home record this season. Nick Iannantone leads the team and the Southern Conference at the plate, batting .440. His .550 OBP is fourth in the conference. Andrew Ronne (.217) sits just behind Mercer's Jess Ackerman (.214) for the lowest opposing batting average in the league. |
