NOTABLES |
+ Saturday's win gave the Bears just their second 4-0 start in conference play in the 51 seasons of the program, and the first unblemished mark through four league games since the Bears captured their first four SoCon games of the 2022 season. + Mercer has now captured 17 of its last 19 games against Southern Conference opponents dating back to the 2023 season, including a current eight-game winning skein against league rivals. The Bears are now 9-1 at home across that impressive stretch. + MU's defense shattered a 12-year-old school record with 14 tackles for loss on Saturday, while also matching a 9-year-old school record with seven sacks. The tackles for loss superlative was previously held by the 2013 version of the Orange & Black that registered 13 stops behind the line against visiting Berry on Sept. 21, 2013. |
