Parker Earns SoCon Runner Of The Week Honors

MACON, Ga. - Mary Grace Parker has received Southern Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for her outstanding performance at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Oct. 3 in Atlanta.
Parker finished first for the Bears and 4th overall in the women's 6k with a time of 20:56.3. The freshman was just 14 seconds off of the pace set by Georgia Tech's Caitlin Thomas and bested out 133 other runners at the event. Parker's time helped lead the Bears to a 2nd place finish out of 14 teams and the #13 spot in the USTFCCCAÂ Women's Cross Country Regional Rankings for week three.Â
Parker and the Bears will head to College Station, Texas for the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 17.
