MACON – The Mercer women's basketball team will open up a three-game road trip on Thursday when the Bears pack up their show and head to Winston-Salem, N.C., to take on Atlantic Coast Conference foe Wake Forest inside LJVM Coliseum. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Newcomer Micah O'Dell scored 15 of her game-best 20 points in the opening half, while also adding four rebounds, four assists and a steal. Mercer won the rebounding battle for the second time this season, 32-30, while also logging a season-best 18 assists. | |

| Mercer has committed a Southern Conference-low 16.0 fouls per game through three outings, while also showcasing the league's second-best scoring defense (55.7 points/game allowed). The Bears are still on the plus side in turnover margin (3.67) thanks to a defense that has forced 20.33 turnovers per game. Newcomer Micah O'Dell has canned 40.5 percent of her shot attempts through a trio of outings, and shows a team-best 14.7 points per game and 3.3 rebounds an outing. | |

| Similar to the Orange & Black, Wake Forest has committed just more than a dozen fouls an outing through three games, and has allowed just 51.0 points an outing thus far. Currently in the midst of a season-opening six-game home stand, the Demon Deacons opened the newest campaign with a 71-64 victory over Radford, and then followed with convincing decisions over Presbyterian (78-41) and Hampton (77-48). Wake Forest shows a trio of players with double-digit scoring averages, including freshman Milan Brown who has tallied 10.3 points and 8.7 boards per game. | |

| Wake Forest leads the all-time series, 6-1, and will carry a six-game series win streak into Thursday night's outing. The Bears won the initial series matchup with the Demon Deacons in 1978-79 (86-47), but Wake Forest has been in the win column for every game since.
