
Volleyball Closes Out Regular Season On The Road

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer volleyball team will close out the regular season with road games against Samford and Western Carolina.
The Bears are coming off of a 1-1 weekend where they swept UNC Greensboro on Senior Night and fell to Wofford the following day, 3-1. Freshman outside hitter Charlotte Thompson posted 25 kills (3.57) across both matches while sophomore outside hitter Sophia Henry put up 24 kills. Sophomore setter Sammi Bergjans tallied 40 assists, 18 digs and four service aces across two matches and sophomore libero Aubri Martin totaled 32 digs and 10 assists.
The Bears begin their road trip in Birmingham, Ala. for a 7:30 p.m. match up against the Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 14. Mercer faced Samford earlier in the season resulting in a 3-2 loss to the Bulldogs. Samford currently sits with an overall record of 11-14 and a conference record of 6-8 with wins over The Citadel, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and Chattanooga.
The Orange & Black wrap up the 2025 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 15 in Cullowhee, N.C. at 6 p.m. The Bears took down the Catamounts 3-0 earlier in the season on Oct. 17 inside Hawkins Arena. Western Carolina currently sits with an overall record of 7-18 and a conference record of 3-11 with wins over The Citadel and UNC Greensboro.
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
