| Â Â LAST TIME OUT | |
| Tuesday's tilt will mark the first home game for the Orange & Black (3-3, 0-0 SoCon) since it registered a 61-56 over Gardner-Webb on November 10. Three Bears – junior Micah O'Dell (11.7), as well as seniors Ariana Bennett (11.3) and Nahawa Diarra (11.0) – average 11.0 points per game or better. Bennett scored 19.5 points an outing across two games last week thanks to a 73.9 percent (17-for-23) combined shooting clip. Mercer ranks second among the eight Southern Conference squads in steals per game (9.5) and force better than 18 turnovers (18.17) an outing as well. | |
| Â Â ABOUT THE BEARS | |
| Senior forward Ariana Bennett tops the scoring column after posting a team-high 10 points in Monday's victory at UNC Asheville. Newcomer Micah O'Dell played a team-best 31 minutes in western North Carolina. The Bears registered an impressive 20-for-30 clip from the free throw line to key the win, while also posting a 42-37 advantage in the rebounding column, including 16 offensive boards. | |
| Â Â SCOUTING FLORIDA A&M | |
| Florida A&M (0-5, 0-0 SWAC) has shot just 29.4 percent from the field through its first five outings, but has pulled down 15.0 rebounds per game (59th NCAA) across that span as well. Freshman Cornelia Ellington boasts a team-best 10.2 points per game, but sophomore Breazia Robinson (7.0 points/game) has connected on 45.9 percent of her field goal attempts in 2025-26, while also collecting a team-best 5.0 boards an outing. Ellington has also tallied a team-best 17 assists (3.4/game) despite coming in off of the bench in three games. | |
| Â Â MERCER/FLORIDA A&M SERIES | |
| The Rattlers lead the all-time series with Mercer, 16-12, but the Bears will have won two-straight games in the 43-year-old series with Florida A&M. Tuesday's matchup will mark the first meeting between the two squads since the Bears tallied a 54-50 road win on Jan. 4, 2016. | |
| Â Â ON DECK | |
| Mercer will open up another three-game road trip on Friday when it heads to the Atlantic coast to take on Charleston Southern in Buccaneer Fieldhouse. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. | |
